Our society is the proud organizer of one of the largest and most distinguished astronomy quiz competitions in Sri Lanka. The Vimala Bandara Challenge trophy which was donated by a distinguished Old Nalandian who worked in NASA, Dr. Sumith Bandara, in memory of his mother, was awarded to the best performer of astronomy knowledge, since 2003. A quiz is always a method of sharing knowledge, with a pinch of rivalry blended with it.
